Today after church and a much needed nap we went over to our favorite family's house for some pool side fun! The water was too cold for the big people but not for the kiddos! Raeanne and Derrick have been swimming for the past couple of weeks but for Owen this was his first swim of the summer and it took him quite awhile to get it. It was really nice to hang out by the pool and not IN the pool!!! Not that I don't like the pool, in the heat of the summer there is no place I'd rather be, but it's great to have time with friends without the kids in the 'middle' of it! To have a complete conversation, 'mostly' uninterrupted! 
Thanks for having us over today!!! We had a GREAT time!

Saturday we went to the May Fly and as usual I forgot to take my camera!!! So these pictures are from my cell phone. The weather was a little iffy at first but after a little rain and cold the clouds moved on and the sun came out...perfect weather!

Raeannes Piano Recital
I had the pleasure of taking my friend Cindys SWEET daughter to her piano recital Sunday afternoon. Cindys grandmother passed away and the funeral was the same time as the piano recital. Raeanne did a fabulous job!!! She sang with both of her songs, how cool is that?!?! My mom also went to the recital and this sweet girl told her piano teacher that her 2nd mom and 3rd grandmother were there with her! She is sooo sweet! My stepdad said that he hoped my daughter would be like her (they think I'm having a girl) and Raeanne said that she could teach her! What a SWEET HEART! I love you Raeanne and pray that my daughter will have a sweet and loving spirit like you! Thank you for letting me be your 2nd mommy!
So while I had Raeanne...Paul had Derrick and Owen. He took the two of them to TOYS R US!!!! Bought new squirt...no super soakers guns and little Hot Wheels monster trucks for the boys! They had a great time playing! After Derrick left I gave Owen a bath and then I layed down on the couch for some much needed rest. Owen climbed on the couch with me and I told him we were going to rest...he said 'I'm not going to close my eyes' and I said 'okay, well I am because I'm tired'...60 seconds later....he was out! This was at 6:00 and my tired baby slept until 6:30 this morning!

Anne Blake and Lance
My cousin, Anne Blake, is getting married in October. My mom threw an engagement party for them on Saturday at Kalmia Gardens in Hartsville. It was a beautiful party...mom you did a great job! It was great to see family we haven't seen in a while and to meet Anne Blake and Lances friends.

The Angels played the Pirates on Friday @ 6:30. Owen school has 'movie day' on Friday and they don't take naps. We had a couple of errands to run after school and on the way home I told Owen he needed to rest before the game. He closed his eyes and told me to wake him up when we got home...and he went to sleep!!! I couldn't bring myself to wake him, so I carried him in and let him nap a little longer on the couch.

HEARTBEAT!
I went back to the doctor yesterday for another ultrasound and we saw the baby's heartbeat!!! Based on the measurements of the little 'pea' I'm not as far along as they originally said...my due date is now 1-7-09...which happens to be Elvis's birthday.

Angels vs Yankees
