SNOW DAY!

1 month!

I can't believe Layla is a month old! She is such a good baby, what a blessing! So far we don't have any 'fussy' times during the day or night, she's doing great at nursing, pretty much every 3 hours and sleeping most of the time in between. She typically has 2 alert times during the day, although she seems to be getting her days and nights confused, she was wide awake from 3:30-5:45 last night/this morning!!! Praying she doesn't do that again tonight but she has slept most of the day so it's not looking good! Before Layla was born I always wondered how it was possible to love another child as much as I love Owen, and I am amazed of the room God made in my heart for her!

Homework

Homework has officially started in our house! Owen LOVES to do homework!!! We've been pretending to do home work ever since Owen started Montessori school last year and last week his teacher started sending it home in his folder. Paul is so good at helping him REALLY understand what the homework is and remembers so much more than I do about school work...he's definitely going to be in charge of homework!

Funny Words From A Sweet Big Brother!

my eyes fill with tears as I look at these two pictures...I can see him as a father holding his child.

today while eating his PB&J he informed me that jelly came from jelly fish!!! He asked if I knew that and I didn't have the heart to tell him any different, too cute! I know these moments and comments from him are few and far between...he's growing up...the first night home with Layla I cried tucking him into bed...it was the first time I realized he wasn't a baby anymore, now that there was really a baby in the house! He'll always be my #1 baby though...

2 weeks!

Layla had her 2 week check up today...she is now 9 lbs and 21 1/4 inches long...she's in the 75% for weight and 90% for height.
