So I started Beth Moore's Believing God bible study a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I was talking to my mom on the phone about the study and I made the comment to her that I don't not believe God. (bad grammar, double negative, I know) Well Owen, who was playing with his monster trucks on the floor, turned around and said... 'MOMMA! YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD!?!?' I tried to explain to him what I had said and of course I believe in God. Well later that night after his bath this is what I overheard... 'Daddy, earlier when you weren't here, mommy was talking to nonni and she said that she didn't believe in God!' My reply...'OWEN, I DID NOT SAY THAT!!! I DO BELIEVE IN GOD!' Owen...'that's not what she said.' I obviously need to do some more explaining before he tells everyone that his mommy said she doesn't believe in God!!!
The other day after school Owen told me that there were some boys on the playground that were the same age as he was and they were stomping on a bug trying to kill it and he told him that was one of God's creatures and that they shouldn't do that. sweet boy!

Merle Fest 2007
Last April Owen and I met my sister, brother-in-law, and niece in North Wilkesboro NC for the annual Merle Watson Memorial Bluegrass Festival. When I was 'younger' I would go year after year to this festival but haven't been since 1994? maybe 1996? who knows...it had been a long time! Anyway, as you know I'm TERRIBLE about remembering to take my camera anywhere and this was no exception! My sister also forgot her camera so this is the ONLY picture, taken with her cell phone, from the whole entire weekend! I have had a copy of this picture on my wall at work since that weekend, printed on a sheet of computer paper no less, and wanted to make a REAL copy of it but couldn't find the email anywhere so I asked her if she still had it and whala, here it is. It is one of my favorite pictures of the two of us...no, it is my favorite! We had a blast that weekend and hope to go back again with Tinkie Winkie one day...with a camera!

Happy Fathers Day!
I forgot to take pictures this morning, imagine that! Owen delivered doughnuts and presents to his daddy this morning and insisted that we sing him happy birthday before he could open any of his presents! So we sang a happy fathers day version of happy birthday, then Owen proceeded to tell his daddy what the presents were before he opened them. After church we went over to my moms for lunch and to celebrate Fathers Day with Poppi. 
I know this one is terribly blurry but it was too sweet not to post! Owen climbed up in my moms lap and she rocked him back and forth for a good 5 minutes. I think he would have gone to sleep if Poppi and Daddy weren't around.
Nonni playing dart guns with Owen!!! He always loves to play dart guns, (he gave his daddy one for fathers day today) but it was EXTRA special to have his Nonni playing with him!

Tball trophy
Today was the last tball game of the season and although we're somewhat relieved it's over, Owen, Paul and I really enjoyed the weekly practice and games. After the game, pizza and cookies the kids were given these cool trophy's. Thanks Grangers and Keys for giving up your time to coach these future MLB players! Hopefully my bff will send me the pictures she took since I forgot my camera again!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY GREER!
My sweet little niece turned 3 on Thursday!!! We headed up to Raleigh for her birthday party this weekend...and as usual my sister and brother-in-law outdid themselves! Well, my sister outdid herself this year...Uncle Mike started feeling a bit under the weather on Thursday night, felt worse on Friday, so off to urgent care he went...came home with 2 antibiotics for possible Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever or whatever had caused Greer to have an ear infection earlier in the week...Needless to say he was quarantined upstairs for most of the day Saturday. But as you will see in the pictures below he started to feel better by the end of the day. Glad you're feeling better Mikey! We had a GREAT time despite the HEAT! The food was WONDERFUL, catered by Coopers BBQ, the company even better! WE LOVE Y'ALL!
Erin did a fabulous job decorating for this Luau themed birthday party!!! When guests arrived they were greeted with a basket of leis, lei bracelets and flower clips for the girls hair and then had their picture taken behind this cool hula boy and girl...sorry i forgot to rotate it.
