PRAYER REQUEST

UPDATE!!!

Just got back from a meeting and my job is secure, unfortunately there are lots of others that are not. We were told that in total about 25,000 people would be losing their jobs. I am thankful that my job was spared, but I am sad for all the families these layoffs will be affecting.

Tomorrow, December 1st, is the day that JPMorgan Chase is to let all of us at Washington Mutual know whether or not we will continue to work there. Since the two companies have merged, there are obviously duplicate jobs and some that will need to be eliminated. Please pray that my job is not one that will be eliminated. I know that whatever the outcome is it's God's plan so I'm not really nervous about tomorrow but would appreciate your prayers.

Almost done!!!

Ever since we moved in, my mom has been encouraging me to pick out some new bedding that would go with the wall paper in our master bath. So today we went to Tomlinson's to pick up this beautiful bedding that I found after reading my friend Rebecca's blog. She had posted a link to her brother-in-law's new blog that he started for the family business...and while reading it the other day, browsing through some of the featured merchandise, I found it!!! Paul hasn't seen it yet, I pray he'll like it...it's a little 'girly' for him, make that a LOT 'girly' for him! We shall see.... Rebecca or Aron, do you know the return policy? just kidding, he'll learn to like it (I HOPE)

Wild Boys!

Since we finally have all of our furniture and most of the decorating done we decided it was time to start having people over for dinner, especially those that helped us during the move. So far we've only had one family over, other than my own for Thanksgiving, but we're eventually going to repay everyone plus some! Last Saturday night we had one of our favorite family's over and the only picture I took were of the boys and of those this is the only one that was even close to not being blurry due to all the action going on! THEY WERE WILD, good, extremely good, but WILD!!! This is what we walked in on...they actually jumped off the bed on this giraffe and thank the Lord didn't get hurt! OH MY GOODNESS LAYLA, I can't wait to play dolls and dress up with you sweet girl!

Raeanne's 9th Birthday Party

Last Friday night we celebrated Raeanne's 9th birthday, which isn't until Christmas eve but she always celebrates it before Thanksgiving since everyone is so busy during the holiday season. She chose to have just a few friends spend the night but before the sleep over we all went to her memaw's restaurant for dinner and some dancing on her super cool dance floor! Raeanne's aunt Monica made a cd with some dance songs and of course some High School Musical music....they danced the night away. Owen and Derrick were right in the middle of the girls doing their own style of dancing most of the night but enjoyed the group dancing...kind of like the electric slide but it's called something else...can't remember what though...

Breakdancing boys!

Derrick has some skills!

who knows??? but they were all having a great time!

the boys had a BLAST!!!

I can't remember what this dance was called, the boys had a great time trying to follow the instructions and the girls!

still breakdancing!

????
What are those guys names on Saturday Night Live in the disco? TOO FUNNY!

LOVE these two!!!
The Birthday Girl

I can't remember what Derrick was saying, that's why I should post pictures immediately! We had a great time celebrating the sweetest almost 9 year old we know!

Swollen and Tired

That's how I feel...my feet and ankles are HUGE!!! I could only fit in my tennis shoes today with them untied! I don't know what I'm going to do for shoes these next few weeks. Hopefully it won't be a few more weeks...I just got back from the doctor and I've dilated 2cm, still 70 % effaced, and Layla is still head down. I'll be 36 weeks on Monday, Owen was delivered at 36 weeks 6 days due to HEELLP syndrome, and with my feet being so swollen and my blood pressure up a little at 128/88 she just might be here before December 29th.

It's starting to feel like home

So we finally got our couches this week and my mom came over today to help me hang pictures. We're still looking for a rug for the living and dining room and I need to change out most of my picture frames to match our new furniture but it finally feels like home!!! We're waiting on some artwork for Layla's room and I'll post pictures when it's complete. Owen's room was the first, well second (kitchen was the first) completed room in the house but I haven't taken any pictures...will have to do that soon. Our bedroom on the other hand is just not working out quite right...too much furniture, not the right wall space, I don't know...it'll be a while before it's complete I think.

Field Trip

Today I had the privilege of going on a field trip with Owen's class to a local farm. Unfortunately it was the coldest day of the year so far!!! OH MY GOODNESS, WE WERE FREEZING!!! Owen rode the bus, which I think was the highlight of the trip! We learned about the sheep, cows, chickens, and border collies they have on the farm.

Breakfast before the trip....Cheerios was not a good breakfast choice! Should've had oatmeal...he was hungry as soon as we got to the farm!
Waiting in line for the bus

So excited to be on the bus!

Again, blogger is uploading my pictures out of order...I don't know what the problem is, so if anyone knows please fill me in!

Still in line for the bus...

Owen and Mak...he's so sweet, he and his LiLi (grandmother) arrived a little late and his class was on the hayride so they hung with Owen's class. Mak came over and sat beside me, asked where Owen was (he was sitting on the row in front of me and then crawled back to my row and sat with us.)

The only picture Mak would let me take of him and his LiLi and it was only because she tricked him into looking my way!

We had a great time even though it was cold! Thanks to WaMu for letting me 'volunteer' today.
