WOO HOO!!! That's how I feel every time I think about this night! Travis Cottrell played at the Garden City Chapel on Friday night, on his Jesus Saves Live tour. WHAT A BLESSING! He is, as is his band, incredibly anointed, unbelievably talented, most awesome worship leader!!!Cindy, Beth, Travis, me, and Layla who finally gave up and passed out! Oh and that's Ganga in my hand, a 6 year old boy from India we are now sponsoring through Compassion International. I have been following a few bloggers who had recently been on a trip with Compassion and through reading their stories knew it was something I wanted to do as a family, specifically with Owen. I had been putting it off, only because I wanted Owen to be involved in choosing the child and we just never seemed to get around to it. I thought it would be good to sponsor a boy Owen's age, so that he could relate to the child and situation better. So when Travis started to talk about Compassion International I was thrilled to have the opportunity to sign up. There were volunteers walking the aisles passing out packets to those with their hands raised. So when I got my packet and saw Ganga, a little boy only 9 months older than from India, I knew he was meant for us! We are so excited to begin a relationship with Ganga, and his family. Owen already has big plans to sell some of the many toys he has, including his train table!, and send all the money he makes to Ganga!

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:8-10
